Quebec Diabetes Support Services (QDSS) is a non-profit organisation founded in 1994. QDSS is closely related to Diabetes Quebec. QDSS’s main activity is to gather used clothing and items in good condition in order to help Diabetes Quebec accomplish its mission.

The gathering of used clothing and items is done in two ways :

1. We install pick-up bins uniquely used to gather clothing on business locations such as hardware stores, supermarkets, commercial centers etc.
2. We solicit people over the phone in order to obtain clothing donations and other used goods. All the donations are then picked-up by our truck drivers in over 170 homes daily, every day of the week, in most Quebec regions.

The generated profits of the sale of these items are directly transferred to Diabetes Quebec in order to help them accomplish their mission consisting of training, informing and providing services in the regions of the province, defending the rights of diabetics and also favouring research on diabetes.

QDSS has three branches of operation in Quebec which are: Quebec city, St-Jérôme and Trois-Rivières. The head office, located in Montreal, is where the administration, accounting, and human resources are handled. It also assures the link between QDSS and Diabetes Quebec.
